Talbots Law is expanding its Residential Property Department, and we are looking for an experienced Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX to join our office in Stoke.

You'll be joining an award-winning conveyancing team, recently recognised as Conveyancing Law Firm of the Year 2026, and working alongside experienced property professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional client service.

As part of a thriving and growing team you’ll manage a broad residential conveyancing caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership while playing a key role in helping us continue to deliver the high standards that have made Talbots one of the region's leading residential property practices.

What does the job involve? 

*         Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion with a high degree of autonomy.  

*         Handling a range of matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership.  

*         Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients while maintaining excellent service levels throughout the transaction process.  

*         Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, introducers and colleagues, while supporting the ongoing growth and development of the Residential Property Department.  

*         Assisting in the development and mentoring of junior team members where appropriate.  

*         Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, quality standards and firm procedures. 

What do you need?

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer or experienced Conveyancer with broad residential conveyancing experience.  
• Proven ability to manage a full residential property caseload independently from instruction through to completion.  
• Demonstrable technical knowledge of residential conveyancing, including both freehold and leasehold transactions.  
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to explain technical legal matters clearly and confidently.  
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.  
• A collaborative approach and genuine passion for delivering outstanding service to clients and referrers.
